Objetivo

The project will develop a fast and reliable human-oriented quality control solution capable of identifying in a timely-manner defectiveness during composite process and, consequently, to determine the in-situ corrective actions to be implemented, towards zero-defects LRI manufacturing process, significantly reducing the generation of polymer composites waste. Results will be implemented in a test bed and demonstrated in two industrial use cases (yacht part and wing box).

Solución

Besides being the project coordinator, LORTEK is leading the project activities focused on monitoring, inspection and control techniques. Specifically, LORTEK is working on developing a new inspection system using hyperspectral cameras to optimize the manufacturing process of composites. Additionally, it is contributing to the implementation a novel digital platform developed by LORTEK in a previous EU project to promote a self-adaptive control system to take corrective measures during the manufacturing process. LORTEK is also highly involved in networking and dissemination activities.
