Over time and in the scope of different regional, national and European projects, LORTEK has generated knowledge on the processability of different types of metals processed using additive manufacturing technologies. Currently, we work with aluminium alloys, titanium, nickel, different types of steels (stainless, tool steels, etc.) and difficult-to-process alloys, among others.
This knowledge leads to the development of parameter windows to process each material so that defects are reduced to a minimum (below 0.1%). Furthermore, specific parameter windows or manufacturing strategies have been created for different types of parts, such as high mass and density, thin-walled geometries or TPMS lattice structures based on bars and surfaces. These cases make up the library of parameters for different applications.
Achieving good integrity (with reduced defects and the desired microstructure) in each material and for different types of geometry requires an optimised manufacturing strategy and parameters for each specific application.
Provide companies with expert knowledge and the capacity to manufacture a wide range and types of part geometries in a wide range of materials, always guaranteeing the quality required by the application where the manufactured workpiece is required.
